Duration: 9 hours (1 day) face to face plus 4-7 hours pre-course e-learning and online assessment

Mode of Delivery: Mixed delivery including Pre-learning (e-learning including online assessment and face to face training and assessment).

Course Times: 8:15 am meet time for 8:30 am course start time (unless otherwise advised by Getabout Office or allocated trainer/training partner).

This ONE DAY PRIVATE COURSE is the ideal introduction to driving your vehicle with a trailer and venturing beyond the bitumen. Available in select locations, it offers experienced instruction so you can tow with confidence.

Whether you want to tow a camper trailer or off road caravan– this course sets you up to tow safely and securely, so the journey is as enjoyable as the destination.

How it works

Before booking into this course contact our staff to assess your training needs (terrain experience, 4WD experience and vehicle and trailer (caravan) combination). We want you to get the most out of your training.

When you register for the course, our office will:

  • Issue you with an enrolment link (each course participant needs to complete, please complete as soon as possible).
  • You will receive an invitation to our e-learning platform 2 - 4 weeks out from your training day.

On the day of your training, we’ll review your answers and discuss any questions – then it’s time to get behind the wheel. Please note that some off road driving experience is necessary before booking this course- we recommend the Off Road Skills Course which will give you all the skills you need.


  • Price includes up to two drivers per vehicle- this course is Private so you have all day one on one training with your instructor.
